No name better symbolizes the spirit of caring and active volunteerism than Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross. The human devastation of the Civil War both horrified her and ignited her determination to make a lasting difference. In 1881, she brought the fledgling International Red Cross movement to America, with its dedication to easing human suffering and its reliance on voluntary support. The Clara Barton Society honors Americans who share her caring and commitment through their generous support of the American Red Cross Jersey Coast Chapter.

Donors who support the American Red Cross at one of the following levels within a given calendar year are distinguished as members of special donor clubs:

Benefactors Club	$25,000+
Pacesetters Club	$10,000 - 24,999
Sponsors Club	$5,000 - 9,999
Partners Club	$2,500 - 4,999
Friends Club	$1,000 - 2,499

All members of the Clara Barton Society, are entitled to VIP donor privileges, which differ with the amount given. Benefits include recognition on chapter donor walls and in chapter publications, select recognition gifts and invitations to special events. All benefits are optional and may be accepted or declined as desired by each donor.
