Third Party Fundraiser

What is a Third Party Fundraiser?

  • You are a school group, community group, or individual who wants to raise funds for a period of less than one year.
  • You want to collect money or run an event to support the Red Cross. Examples include,
    • A group of individuals ‘passing the hat’ at a community function or event (concert, local sports match).
    • A group of individuals going door to door to collect funds from neighborhood residents.
    • A company or school that places donation canisters at a convention or sporting event.
    • A local radio station holding a telethon.
  • You are not creating a product to sell. All product sales that include American Red Cross iconography are considered Cause Related Marketing.
  • Your group agrees to pay all costs associated with developing and printing promotional and marketing material for the fundraising program. In other words, you can not deduct the costs of running your event from the donations that people have given to you to support the American Red Cross.
  • YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU WILL FORWARD TO THE RED CROSS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE DONATIONS.

Want to organize a Third Party Fundraiser?  Please send an e-mail containing your name, address, and phone number, along with a brief description of your fundraising plan to development@jerseycoast-redcross.org.

Your request will be reviewed, and a Red Cross representative will respond to you within 48 hours.
