Ronald Tinao, a charismatic volunteer and new addition to our volunteer circle, is an active member within our Disaster Services Department. Ron’s first experiences with First-Aid, rescue missions and assistance to others came about when he worked for the New York City Fire Department in Brooklyn. While serving his city, he realized the importance of lending his help and support to others in their time of struggle.
A recent addition to the Jersey Coast Chapter Disaster Department, Ron has become an active Rapid Response Volunteer in Ocean County. While learning quickly and adapting to Red Cross disaster operation services, Ron has moved in a short time period from being a new volunteer, to becoming a mentor for other rapid response volunteers. With disaster response surging in Ocean County, Ron has been involved in all facets of being a disaster volunteer. Always taking the time to serve people’s needs, whatever they may be, Ron always donates his blood and has great volunteer involvement with his local church.
Ron has also aided our chapter in the implementation of our Emergency Response Vehicles during disasters, and assists in various building maintenance. The Jersey Coast Chapter has gained a dedicated, passionate volunteer in Ron, and if his work over the past year is any indication, he will be a valuable asset to us forever with his volunteer service.
