Michael Ruane of Middletown - Paving the Way Hero
Selflessly giving his time and energy to a cause that he believes in is 18 year old Michael Ruane, a senior at Middletown North. Through the foundation Breast Friends Forever, he has been committed alongside his cousin Erika Rech to easing the burden of women with breast cancer. Their foundation has raised over $110,000 since its inception and all the money goes directly to the women who need it. Michael is extremely proud of the charity and grateful to all the volunteers who make their vision a reality. After vigorously researching nonprofits, Michael has been committed to a cause which he truly believes in and is seeing it succeed. Thank you Michael for making a difference in our community and in our world. You are paving the way for those who will learn from your example.
