Melissa Jacobs of Neptune City - Animal Rescue Hero
Our animal rescue advocate and hero, Melissa A. Jacobs, possesses a strong nurturing attitude toward wildlife and all animals. Melissa has always had a love for animals and donates not only money to causes that save animals and wildlife, but her time, resources and compassion. The message she wishes to send into the community is that animals, just like humans, feel pain and suffering. As a part of the Animal Rehabilitators Alliance, a non-profit organization founded to help wildlife, she has worked to establish a phone number of which the public can call when encountering wildlife in need (1-877-4SAVWILD). A strong political advocate and voice for animals, Melissa is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator who also volunteers with the SPCA and Humane Society. Melissa has spoken at Brookdale Community College about wildlife, where she also attended and graduated, Phi Theta Kappa and Lambda Nu honor societies. Although much of Melissa’s time is spent saving our wildlife, she still manages to work as a radiological technologist in the emergency room at Monmouth Medical Center. Thank you, Melissa, for your dedication to the betterment of our wildlife.
